Step 1: Schedule an Initial On-Site Meeting

Contact Sensible Build to schedule an initial on-site meeting to review the project. Please have a list prepared of all items you want included in the project. Pictures or drawings of your ‘vision’ are always helpful. This initial meeting will have a $50 fee, with payment expected onsite.

Step 2: Meeting with Architects, Engineers, and Interior Designers

If you choose to involve an architect/engineer or an interior designer then we will schedule a meeting to help polish your ideas. We are glad to recommend some or work with others of your choosing.

Step 3: Review and Sign Required Documents

We will then provide a Descriptive Scope of Work, an Itemized Estimate, and a Project Timeline for your review. After you agree to those documents you will be asked to sign a financial contract, either a Lump Sum contract or a Cost/Plus contract depending upon the nature of the project.

Step 4: Select Finishes and Fixtures

We will provide you with a Finish/ Fixture Selection list. You (or your designer) will be responsible for selecting these items by the given deadlines.

Step 5: Permits

Sensible Build will apply for all necessary permits. Note: if the project requires permits, we cannot proceed until we receive those permits.

Step 6: Project Completion

Our team will then be responsible to see your project through to completion. Any changes or unforeseen issues will be reflected in updates to the construction documents.
